What is Lunar Phase (Changing Face of Moon) – In Full Moon Cycle / Lunar Cycle
What is Lunar Phase: A lunar phase is the shape of the moon that we see from the earth. As per the science, the Moon doesn’t shine of its own, It reflects the sunlight and we human beings see it from the earth. As you know the moon rotates around the earth and different parts of the moon are lit up by the sun, and that is what we see in the sky.
The Moon completes one full orbit (rotate) around the earth in about 29.5 days, and during this period it goes through 8 different phases. The complete cycle is called lunar cycle or Moon cycle.
